Maybe where you are right now is somewhere you don’t want to be.  Perhaps you feel stuck in a dead-end job that you hate and you work on autopilot all week, waiting for the weekend to arrive.  You’d like to do something else but you don’t know what or how to even start?  Possibly you are in a job you are really good at, and you quite like the job but you feel there is something missing.

It could be that you are stressed to the eyeballs but in a job that earns you a good wage and you feel trapped.  How could you possibly walk away from that?  What would happen to the mortgage?  How would your family cope? Maybe it’s not your job, maybe it’s your relationships that are making you feel claustrophobic and you just keep thinking ‘Is this all there is to life?’

Imagine instead you could create the life of your dreams and were already living it.  What would that be like?  Maybe in this new life you are doing exactly what you want to do every day of your life.  You are operating in your ‘field of genius’ – doing the thing that lights you up, where you are in flow all the time.  Here you have the time you want, to spend the money you now have.  You have time for your loved ones, you have time for your SELF, you are living in joy and abundance.  Does that sound good?  Or are you thinking – it’s all a pipe dream Chezza.

Well, let me take you back to October 2011.  If you had been with me that Friday night after a long, tiring and utterly soul destroying week at work, you would have seen me with my two best mates, Gordon and Stella, in my front room on the (comfy) sofa, with the television on, the cushions piled up at one end of the sofa and a warm fleecy blanket to snuggle up under.  No – I wasn’t about to have a threesome, well maybe one of sorts.  Because there was Gordon, all strong and powerful, with broad shoulders and an icy glint with his white cap, and there was Stella, all bubbly and fizzy.  And as I poured myself another beer to wash down the gin (or was it the other way around) I thought – ‘Is this IT?   Is this the rest of my life?  This sucks!’.

Because – here’s the thing, I didn’t know who I was, I was lost, didn’t know what I wanted to do …was just existing …in a trance and out of control.

And then I went to an event and I saw this short ballsy guy on stage called Andy Harrington.  I really didn’t like him much, maybe because he appeared to be happy in his own skin, confident and in control but what I did notice was that he was incredibly gifted at what he did – public speaking.  He had the crowd in the palm of his hand.  And then came the moment that changed my life.  He turned his head on stage – looked straight at me and said “If you died tomorrow, how many people would come to your funeral?  If that number is small you lived a life of insignificance”.

Oh My God.  It was like someone punched me in the stomach – because that’s how I felt.  I quickly added up about 43 people I knew who might come to my funeral – but only if it wasn’t raining cos I had read in an article that ½ the people won’t go to a funeral if it rains & it rains a lot up north!   And I decided that couldn’t happen.  So, I signed up for his course.

And as the weeks went on, I learned skills that I could use to reach hundreds, or thousands of people and really make a difference in the world.  But how could I make a difference? I threw myself into learning, I read books and immersed myself in learning new concepts and ideas and yes I still had one foot in my old life as I try to stretch into the new one (bit like doing the splits…very painful!)

And then, one day, Andy gave me an opportunity to work with him more closely and in the words of Richard Branson, when an opportunity comes your way “say yes and figure it out along the way later!”  Well, if I hadn’t done that I never would have met Marion Bevington, my now partner-in-crime, I call her the female version of Indiana Jones because she has travelled the globe learning ancient teachings to help other free themselves from what holds them back.

She inspired me to believe in myself and together we created The Find Your WHY! Foundation. You see here’s the thing, when you know what you are here for you have an inner power …it’s like you’re a Duracell bunny on heat! But first you need to know WHY you are where you are right now because to get from A to B you need to know where both points are, does that make sense?

So what’s been happening since this journey began? Lots more learning, studying, practise, making some mistakes, having success, helping others …LIFE has started to happen and I feel more awake than I did when I was in my 20’s.

Now I’m living my WHY!  “To inspire others to choose a life of freedom and take back their control”

I have won speaker, author and radio host awards and I continue to work on myself every day with tools that I have learned and I help others through life changing tools such as Genetic Blueprinting, NLP, Rapid Transformational Therapy.

I have helped people become free of phobias, addictions (I know how hard that one is – it’s been a couple of years since I spent any time with Gordon or Stella).  I have helped others overcome a crippling lack of self-confidence, not feeling good enough, self-sabotaging, feeling lost.   And, this is what you need to know and remember – you don’t have to figure it out on your own, and you don’t have to do it alone.

My life now has changed so dramatically from 6 years ago – I don’t even recognise that woman anymore.  In the last 6 months I was appointed to the board of directors at the ATL (Association of Transformational Leaders) and today….wait for it….today I become Dr Cheryl Chapman Chyp, rtt.  As I write this blog I’m heading to Westminster to receive an honorary doctorate award for global leadership & peace building.  Don’t worry I’m the same Chezza it’s just that I realised it’s not about me – it’s about those people I can help because you don’t know what you don’t know.

If you are lost, maybe you need some direction, I’d like to help you, just as others helped me.

I believe sometimes you meet someone so you can help them and at other times you meet them so they can help you.

In appreciation of my award, and of the general karma of life, I would like to offer a free consultation to you, to see if there is anything that I can help you identify and become free of that could be holding you back.  Don’t delay – this is YOUR time.  Email to cheryl@cheryl-chapman.com
